Ranics is a fictional species originating from the planet Xylos in the Andromeda galaxy. They are known for their distinctive physiology, characterized by a smooth, obsidian-like exoskeleton and four prehensile limbs. Their heads are small and triangular, featuring large, multifaceted eyes that grant them a wide field of vision, and a pair of retractable antennae used for sensing vibrations and atmospheric changes. Ranics are an intelligent, telepathic species with a highly communal society. Their communication is primarily through shared thoughts and emotions, though they possess a complex system of vocalizations for specific situations.
