Radiografio

Radiografio, also known as radiography, is a medical imaging technique that uses electromagnetic radiation to create images of the internal structures of the body. The most common form of radiografio employs X-rays. When X-rays pass through the body, they are absorbed to varying degrees by different tissues. Denser tissues, like bone, absorb more X-rays and appear whiter on the resulting image, while less dense tissues, such as soft tissues and air, allow more X-rays to pass through and appear darker.

The X-ray beam is directed at the area of the body being examined, and the transmitted radiation is captured by a detector, which can be photographic film or a digital sensor. This captured radiation is then processed to form an image. Radiografio is a valuable diagnostic tool used to identify a wide range of conditions, including fractures, infections, certain types of cancer, and blockages in the digestive system. It is a non-invasive procedure, though some radiation exposure is involved, and healthcare professionals take precautions to minimize this exposure. Specialized forms of radiografio exist, such as fluoroscopy, which provides real-time moving images.
