Rabat-Salé-Kénitra is one of the twelve administrative regions of Morocco. It was created in 2015 by merging the former regions of Rabat-Salé-Zemmour-Zaer and the Gharb-Chrarda-Béni Hsen. The region has a total area of 18,385 square kilometers and a population of approximately 4,570,000 people as of the 2014 census. Its capital is Rabat, which is also the national capital of Morocco.
