RVN

Ravencoin (RVN) is a decentralized, open-source blockchain designed to efficiently transfer assets from one party to another. Built as a fork of Bitcoin, it adds a native protocol for issuing and transferring tokens that can represent real-world assets such as equities, property, or digital collectibles, without requiring complex smart contracts.

History and governance: Ravencoin's mainnet launched on January 3, 2018, with a fair launch and no premine. The project is maintained by an open-source development community and is governed by the Ravencoin Foundation, a non-profit organization formed to support development and governance. The platform emphasizes community involvement and ongoing protocol upgrades through consensus within its ecosystem.

Technology and design: Ravencoin uses a proof-of-work consensus with an emphasis on ASIC resistance to encourage broad participation in mining. Its supply is capped at 21 billion RVN. Blocks are produced roughly every minute.
