RTMT

RTMT, short for Real-Time Monitoring Tool, is a Cisco-provided diagnostic and monitoring utility designed for Cisco Unified Communications environments. It provides centralized visibility into the health, performance, and service status of CUCM and related components such as Unity Connection and IM&P, supporting real-time monitoring as well as historical trending to aid proactive maintenance and rapid troubleshooting.

Key features include real-time and historical performance data for servers and services (CPU, memory, disk, network), as well as monitoring of call-processing and signaling health, voicemail, and other core UC functions. RTMT also offers alerting capabilities, allowing thresholds to trigger notifications when conditions degrade. It includes log and trace management tools for diagnostics, enabling the collection, viewing, filtering, and exporting of traces and system logs from multiple servers. Administrators can generate support bundles to aid in incident analysis and can adjust trace levels for specific services to scope debugging efforts.

The tool supports multi-server operations, allowing remote data collection from clustered CUCM deployments and other Cisco UC components. It can schedule tasks, save configurations for reuse, and export collected data for offline analysis. RTMT is typically delivered as a Windows desktop application and requires access credentials to the Cisco UC servers to retrieve data and manage traces.
