RNAtranscript is a term that typically refers to the sequence of RNA molecules synthesized from a DNA template during the process of transcription. Transcription is a fundamental biological process that occurs in all living cells, enabling the transfer of genetic information from DNA to RNA, which can then be used for protein synthesis or other cellular functions.

The RNA transcript produced during transcription is complementary to the DNA template strand and generally mirrors the coding strand, with uracil (U) replacing thymine (T). This RNA molecule can take various forms, including messenger RNA (mRNA), transfer RNA (tRNA), ribosomal RNA (rRNA), and other non-coding RNAs, each serving distinct roles within the cell.
