The core idea is to expose a defined RNA library containing many sequence variants to an RBP, capture bound RNAs, and quantify which sequences are enriched relative to an input pool to infer binding motifs.

Experimental variants include differences in the RNA library design, such as the length of the randomized region and the nature of flanking constant sequences, as well as the binding and capture workflow and the readout method used to quantify bound RNA.
