Részvénykibocsátásról is the Hungarian term for issuing shares or stock issuance. It refers to the process by which a company, typically a public limited company (PLC), raises capital by selling ownership stakes in the form of shares to investors. This is a fundamental mechanism for companies to fund their operations, expansion, research and development, or to repay debt.

There are two primary types of share issuances. A primary offering occurs when a company issues new shares for the first time, often during an initial public offering (IPO), making it a publicly traded entity. Subsequent offerings, also known as secondary offerings, happen when a public company issues additional shares after its initial listing. These can be done to raise more capital or to allow existing large shareholders to sell their holdings.

The process of issuing shares involves several steps, including deciding on the number of shares to offer, determining the price per share, and engaging with investment banks or financial intermediaries to underwrite and distribute the shares to the public or institutional investors.
