Quatermass
Quatermass is a British science fiction franchise created by Nigel Kneale. It began with a television serial broadcast by the BBC in 1953, titled The Quatermass Experiment. The story centered on Professor Bernard Quatermass, a brilliant but pragmatic scientist leading the British Experimental Rocket Group. His experiments with space travel lead to a terrifying encounter with an alien intelligence.

A final television serial, Quatermass, was produced by Thames Television in 1979, featuring John Mills as an
