Qoyllor
Qoyllor is a small community situated in the high Andes of southern Peru, within the administrative boundaries of the Puno Region. The village lies at an elevation of approximately 4,200 metres (13,800 feet) above sea level, in a valley surrounded by glacial peaks and alpine grasslands. Its name derives from the Quechua word “qoyllur,” meaning “star,” reflecting the clear, starry skies that are characteristic of the high plateau.
