Põhjahemisooni
Põhjahemisooni refers to the northern hemisphere of the Earth. This is the half of the globe that lies north of the Equator. The northern hemisphere contains more landmass than the southern hemisphere, with continents like North America, Europe, and the majority of Asia situated within it. Its geographical position means it experiences distinct seasons, with summer occurring during the months of June, July, and August, and winter from December to February. The sun's path in the sky is also different compared to the southern hemisphere, appearing lower in the sky during winter and higher during summer. Many of the world's most populous countries are located in the northern hemisphere. The North Star, Polaris, is a prominent celestial object visible in the night sky and is a key navigational aid in this region.
