Pääomakauppa

Pääomakauppa, also known as capital trade, refers to the international flow of financial assets. This includes investments in stocks, bonds, real estate, and other financial instruments across national borders. Pääomakauppa is a fundamental aspect of globalization, facilitating economic growth and development by allowing capital to move to where it can be most effectively utilized.

There are two main types of pääomakauppa: foreign direct investment (FDI) and portfolio investment. However, large and sudden outflows of capital can also destabilize economies, leading to currency depreciation and financial crises. International organizations also play a role in setting standards and promoting cooperation related to capital flows.
