Pyralid

Pyralid refers to moths belonging to the family Pyralidae. This is a very large and diverse family within the order Lepidoptera, encompassing a wide range of species with varying appearances and life cycles. Pyralid moths are found worldwide and inhabit numerous environments, from grasslands and forests to agricultural fields and even human dwellings.

The term "pyralid" is often used in a general sense to describe moths from this family, though scientifically, it denotes their taxonomic classification.
