The most common type of pyöristymis is rounding to the nearest integer. For example, if a number is 4.7, it would be rounded up to 5. If the number is 4.3, it would be rounded down to 4. The rule for deciding whether to round up or down is typically based on the digit in the first decimal place. If this digit is 5 or greater, the number is rounded up.
