Puteaux

Puteaux is a commune in the western suburbs of Paris, France. It is located in the Île-de-France region, within the Hauts-de-Seine department, and is part of the Métropole du Grand Paris. The town sits on the banks of the Seine, immediately north of La Défense, one of Europe’s largest business districts, and is bordered by Courbevoie, Neuilly-sur-Seine, Suresnes and Nanterre.

As of recent estimates, Puteaux has around 40,000 to 45,000 inhabitants and covers a compact urban area that blends residential districts with commercial zones along the river and near La Défense. The municipality combines riverfront space with urban amenities, parks, and local services.

Historically, Puteaux developed from a rural village into a suburban town in the 19th century with the arrival of railways and industry.
