Punertavamman

Punertavamman, also known as Punarvasu, is a Hindu deity worshipped primarily in the state of Kerala, India. The term "Punertavamman" is derived from the Malayalam words "Punarvasu," meaning "rebirth," and "Ammam," meaning "mother." The deity is revered as the goddess of rebirth, fertility, and the cycle of life. Punertavamman is often depicted as a young woman with four arms, holding a lotus, a conch shell, a mace, and a water pot. She is associated with the concept of the eternal cycle of life, death, and rebirth, symbolizing the continuous renewal of life.

The festival of Punertavamman is celebrated annually in the month of Medam (February-March) in the districts of Malappuram and Kozhikode in Kerala.
