Pulzálás is a term that generally refers to a rhythmic throbbing or beating sensation. In a physiological context, it most commonly describes the sensation of the heartbeat felt in the arteries, particularly those close to the surface of the skin such as the radial artery in the wrist or the carotid artery in the neck. This pulsing is a direct result of the heart contracting and pumping blood through the circulatory system.
