Pulzusnyomás
Pulzusnyomás, also known as blood pressure, is a measure of the force exerted by blood against the walls of the arteries as the heart pumps. It is typically measured in millimeters of mercury (mmHg) and is expressed as two numbers: systolic pressure (the pressure when the heart beats) and diastolic pressure (the pressure when the heart rests between beats). Normal blood pressure is generally considered to be less than 120/80 mmHg. High blood pressure, or hypertension, is defined as a systolic pressure of 130 mmHg or higher and/or a diastolic pressure of 80 mmHg or higher. Low blood pressure, or hypotension, is defined as a systolic pressure of less than 90 mmHg and/or a diastolic pressure of less than 60 mmHg. Blood pressure can be measured using a sphygmomanometer, a device that inflates a cuff around the upper arm to restrict blood flow and then releases the pressure to measure the force of the blood against the artery walls. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is important for the early detection and management of hypertension and other cardiovascular conditions.
