Proutists
Proutists are adherents to the philosophy of Prout, an acronym for Progressive Utilization Theory. This socio-economic-political theory was developed by the Indian philosopher and spiritual leader Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar. Prout posits a decentralized economic system with cooperative ownership and democratic participation, aiming to ensure that the necessities of life are available to all members of society. A core tenet of Prout is the concept of "social dynamism," which suggests that societal progress is driven by a continuous cycle of struggle and eventual equilibrium. Proutists advocate for a system that balances individual freedoms with collective well-being, often emphasizing the importance of local economic self-sufficiency and the development of human potential. They believe that economic exploitation and social inequalities can be overcome through the implementation of Proutist principles. The movement seeks to create a more just and equitable world by addressing economic, social, and cultural issues through its unique theoretical framework. Proutists are found in various parts of the world, actively promoting the philosophy through educational initiatives, community projects, and advocacy.
