Propylaeas
Propylaeas, also spelled Propylaea, refers to the monumental gateway complex that forms the main entrance to the Acropolis of Athens. Built in the late 5th century BCE as part of the Periclean building program, its construction is traditionally attributed to the architect Mnesicles.
