Prométafázisban

Prométafázisban is the Hungarian term for prometaphase, a stage in cell division. This phase occurs after prophase and before metaphase in mitosis and meiosis. During prometaphase, the nuclear envelope breaks down, and the chromosomes condense further. The spindle fibers, which are composed of microtubules, begin to attach to the kinetochores, which are protein structures located at the centromeres of each chromosome. These spindle fibers then start to move the chromosomes towards the center of the cell. The attachment of spindle fibers to the kinetochores is a crucial event, as it ensures that each daughter cell will receive a complete set of chromosomes. The dynamic interaction between spindle fibers and kinetochores leads to a tug-of-war that aligns the chromosomes. This movement and attachment process is essential for the accurate segregation of genetic material during cell division. The breakdown of the nuclear envelope allows the spindle apparatus direct access to the chromosomes.
