The concept of the production line was popularized by Henry Ford in the early 20th century for the mass production of automobiles, though the principles were developed earlier. Ford's moving assembly line significantly reduced the time and cost required to build a car, making them accessible to a much wider audience. Today, production lines are a cornerstone of modern manufacturing across various industries, from electronics to food processing.
