Primäärivärijoukko
Primäärivärijoukko refers to a set of colors from which all other colors can be mixed. The specific colors in a primäärivärijoukko depend on the color model being used. In subtractive color models, such as those used in printing and pigment mixing, the traditional primäärivärijoukko is red, yellow, and blue (RYB). Mixing these primary colors in various proportions can produce a wide range of secondary and tertiary colors. For example, red and yellow mix to form orange, yellow and blue mix to form green, and blue and red mix to form purple.
In modern printing, a more accurate primäärivärijoukko for subtractive color is cyan, magenta, and yellow (CMY).
