Pribuznos

Pribuznos, also known as surrounding nobility or associates, refers to the network of nobles and aristocrats that surrounded a medieval ruler, such as a king or a grand duke. These individuals held significant influence and power within the kingdom or principality, and often served as advisors, governors, or military leaders.

The term "pribuznos" originates from the Slavic languages, with the Russian word "приблизно" meaning "near" or "adjacent", implying a close relationship between the ruler and these nobles. In medieval Europe, rulers relied heavily on their pribuznos for guidance and support, as these individuals often possessed extensive knowledge of the kingdom's politics, military affairs, and social structures.

Pribuznos typically consisted of high-ranking nobles who had a personal connection with the ruler, often through blood ties, marriage, or shared interests.
