The word is a neologism, drawing on the Slavic root predmet meaning "object" and a suffix typical of technical coinages; it is not part of a standard philosophical vocabulary but appears in niche discussions and creative works.

In a predmetlarits framework, every object is associated with a set of predicates that collectively characterize its essence. These predicates include intrinsic properties such as size, material composition, and shape, as well as relational properties such as function, ownership, or role in a system.
