Pratapgarh
Pratapgarh is a city and a municipal corporation in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is the administrative headquarters of the Pratapgarh District. The city is located in the southeastern part of Rajasthan, close to the border with Madhya Pradesh. Historically, Pratapgarh was the capital of the princely state of Devgarh, founded by Rawal Veerpalsinh in the 15th century. The name Pratapgarh is believed to be derived from Maharawal Pratap Singh, who ruled the region in the 17th century.
