Prachanda
Pushpa Kamal Dahal, widely known by his nom de guerre Prachanda, is a prominent Nepali politician and the current Prime Minister of Nepal. Born in 1954 in Dhunpatan, a remote village in the Gorkha district, Prachanda rose to national prominence as a leader of the Maoist insurgency that sought to overthrow the monarchy and establish a republic. He played a crucial role in the peace process that concluded the decade-long civil war in 2006 and subsequently led the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), which later merged to form the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre).
Prachanda has served as Prime Minister of Nepal on two previous occasions, first from 2008 to 2009
