Postprocesy

Postprocesy, also known as post-processing, refers to a series of operations performed after the primary or initial processing of data, an image, or a system. The term's specific meaning can vary depending on the context, but the general idea is to refine, enhance, or prepare something for its final output or use.

In computer graphics and video games, post-processing effects are applied to rendered images to improve their visual quality or add artistic styles. These can include effects like bloom, motion blur, color correction, depth of field, and anti-aliasing. They are applied to the final rendered frame before it is displayed on screen, allowing for visual enhancements that might be computationally too expensive to render in real-time during the primary rendering pipeline.

In data analysis, post-processing might involve cleaning, transforming, or summarizing raw data after an initial analysis has been performed. This could include outlier detection, data normalization, or feature engineering to make the data more suitable for further modeling or interpretation.

In manufacturing and 3D printing, post-processing refers to the steps taken after an object has been fabricated. This can involve removing support structures, sanding, painting, polishing, or assembling components to achieve the desired final product.
