Populacij refers to the total number of individual organisms of the same species living within a specific geographic area at a particular time. This concept is fundamental to ecology and population dynamics. Key characteristics of a populacij include its size, density, distribution, and age structure. Population size is simply the count of individuals, while density refers to the number of individuals per unit area or volume. Distribution describes how individuals are spread across the habitat, which can be uniform, random, or clumped. The age structure, or the proportion of individuals in different age groups (pre-reproductive, reproductive, and post-reproductive), significantly influences a population's growth potential.
