Polimertípus refers to the classification of polymers based on various characteristics, aiding in understanding their properties and applications. One common classification is by the source of the polymer, categorizing them into natural polymers, such as cellulose and proteins, and synthetic polymers, which are man-made, like polyethylene and PVC.

Another important categorization is based on the monomer structure. Polymers can be linear, branched, or cross-linked.
