Podrobnjí is a term occasionally discussed in Czech language studies as a hypothetical or nonstandard form meaning “more detailed.” It is not recorded in major dictionaries and is not used in standard written or spoken Czech. The form appears mainly in linguistic exercises, language games, or examples illustrating how nonstandard suffixes might be attached to adjectives, but it lacks official status.

Etymology and form: Podrobnjí would be built from podrobný (detailed) with the suffix -jí, a construction that does not align with standard Czech comparative formation. In standard Czech, the comparative of podrobný is podrobnější, and the adverb meaning “in detail” is podrobně. The suffix -jí is not productive in modern Czech for forming comparatives.

Usage and status: In authentic sources, podrobnjí does not occur as a real word. When it is used in pedagogy or fiction, it serves to signal a fictional or archaic-like coinage rather than a legitimate term. It may be employed to emphasize language play or to illustrate how speakers might overgeneralize suffixes, rather than to convey established meaning.

Examples: A hypothetical usage could appear as: “Toto je podrobnjí popis,” but such usage would be considered nonstandard or fictional, not representative of actual Czech.
