Plytvaním

Plytvaním is a Czech term that roughly translates to "platooning" in English. This concept has gained significant attention in the logistics and transportation sectors in recent years. In essence, platooning refers to a type of vehicle formation where two or more vehicles, most commonly trucks or buses, move in close proximity to each other, often spaced only a few meters apart.

The primary goal of platooning is to reduce aerodynamic drag, which is a significant contributor to a vehicle's energy consumption. By maintaining a consistent distance between vehicles, the lead vehicle — usually the one in front — creates a protective barrier that shields the following vehicle from turbulent air flows. This, in turn, decreases the amount of energy needed to propel the latter vehicle forward.
