Pluralistinen

Pluralistinen is a Finnish adjective meaning pluralistic or pluralist. It is used to describe theories, systems and approaches that acknowledge and accommodate multiple groups, voices, or interests within a shared social or political order. The term derives from Latin pluralis and is formed with the Finnish suffix -inen; its use is common in academic and policy contexts.

In philosophy and political science, pluralistinen describes pluralism as a framework in which power and influence are distributed among diverse actors—such as political parties, interest groups and civil society organizations—rather than centralized in a single authority. In sociology and cultural studies, pluralistinen denotes a society that recognizes and protects religious, ethnic and cultural diversity, aiming for equal civic rights for different groups.
