Plattvärmeväxlare, or plate heat exchangers in English, are highly efficient devices designed for transferring heat between two fluids. They consist of a series of thin, corrugated metal plates stacked together. These plates are arranged in such a way that they create alternating channels through which the two fluids flow. The corrugations on the plates increase the surface area available for heat transfer and also induce turbulence in the fluid flow, further enhancing the efficiency of the heat exchange process.
