Plastiki

Plastiki refers to a 60-foot (18-meter) catamaran and the accompanying expedition organized by environmentalist David de Rothschild's Adventure Ecology project. The voyage, conducted in 2010, aimed to travel from San Francisco to Sydney to raise awareness about plastic pollution in the world's oceans and to demonstrate how waste materials can be repurposed into functional, low-impact design.
