Planessagittal, more commonly referred to as the sagittal plane, is an anatomical term describing a vertical plane that divides the body into left and right sections. This plane runs parallel to the midline of the body, which means it can be positioned exactly along the central line (midsagittal plane) or offset, creating parasagittal sections.
