Pittipalota

Pittipalota is a fictional city in the nation of Veridia. It serves as the administrative center of Pittipalot Province and a regional hub for trade, culture, and education. Located on the Pitt River, the city features a temperate climate, with river flats and rolling hills nearby. The historic core preserves 18th- and 19th-century architecture, while newer districts host manufacturing, logistics, and services.

Founded in 1723 by river traders, Pittipalota grew as a market town and rail junction. The origin of the name is debated, with theories tying it to the river, to an early settler, or to a local legend. It became a provincial capital in 1954.

The economy blends manufacturing, logistics, and services. Key sectors include food processing, textiles, and machinery components, with a growing tech sector anchored by Pittipalota University.

Pittipalota operates under a mayor–council government. The city council governs urban planning, public safety, and utilities within Veridia’s constitutional framework.

As of 2020, the city had about 92,000 residents. The population is diverse, with Veridian and minority communities; Veridian and English are commonly spoken.

Cultural institutions include the Pittipalota Opera House and Riverfront Museum. The city is served by a national highway, a regional rail line, and a nearby airport.

Pittipalota University, founded in 1965, offers programs in engineering, business, and the arts, along with vocational institutes.
