Pistokselle

Pistokselle is a Finnish term that can be roughly translated to English as a post-box or postkiosk. Historically, pistokselle referred to a type of postal kiosk that was situated in a public area, typically in a rural setting, to facilitate the delivery of mail to remote locations.

In the early 20th century, pistokselle were common in Finland, particularly in areas with low population density. These kiosks were often small, typically constructed of wood, and were equipped with a mail collection box.
