Phosphinamide

Phosphinamide refers to a class of chemical compounds containing a phosphorus-nitrogen bond, specifically a P(V) center bonded to at least one amino group and an oxygen atom. The general formula can be represented as R1R2P(O)NR3R4, where R groups can be alkyl, aryl, or hydrogen. These compounds are essentially amides of phosphinic acids.
