Phanerisitische

Phaneritic is a term used in geology to describe the texture of an igneous rock that is characterized by crystals that are large enough to be seen with the naked eye. This means that when you look at a phaneritic rock, you can easily distinguish the individual mineral grains without the need for a microscope.

This coarse-grained texture typically forms when magma or lava cools slowly, allowing ample time for large crystals to grow. This slow cooling usually occurs beneath the Earth's surface, in intrusive or plutonic igneous environments. Common examples of phaneritic rocks include granite, diorite, and gabbro. In contrast, rocks with very fine-grained crystals, where individual grains are not visible to the naked eye, are described as aphanitic. The presence of phaneritic texture provides important clues about the cooling history and conditions under which an igneous rock formed.
