Phaedraera

Phaedraera is a fictional genus of flowering plants created for illustrative purposes in this article. In the fictional ecosystem, Phaedraera is classified within the order Lamiales and is placed in the family Lamiaceae. The genus currently includes two described species: Phaedraera alba and Phaedraera caerulea.

Plants of Phaedraera are herbaceous perennials with opposite leaves and square stems typical of many mint-family members. Leaves are 3–8 cm long, elliptic to lanceolate, with finely toothed margins. The name Phaedraera was established by fictional botanist L. M. Ravin in 2104. The genus name combines elements from classical languages to imply brightness and region. In the story world, Phaedraera is used as a model for studying plant adaptation to maritime climates.
