Pergeul

Pergeul is a small commune located in the Argeș County of Romania. It sits at an elevation of approximately 210 meters above sea level. According to 2011 census, the population of Pergeul stands at 2,212 individuals. The commune consists of 5 villages: Bella, Călinești, Dealu Frumos, Zetea and the village of Pergeul.

Pergeul is nestled in the southeastern part of the Argeș County, comprising a total area of 85 square kilometers. It shares borders with several other communities, including Strejescu, Miroși, Zăvoaia, Lunca Corbului and Corbeașu.

The terrain where Pergeul is situated is generally characterized as hilly, with scenery influenced by nearby Vârciorog Valley and Alunu River. The community is positioned about 30 kilometers northwest of Bucharest, the capital of Romania, an area known for its cultural and economic activity.
