Penumbraalinen
Penumbraalinen is a Finnish word that translates to "penumbral" in English. It is most commonly used in astronomical contexts to describe the partial shadow cast by a celestial body during an eclipse. When the Earth, Moon, or another planet passes between a light source and another object, it creates two distinct shadows: the umbra, which is the darkest, central part where the light source is completely blocked, and the penumbra, the lighter, outer region where the light source is only partially blocked.
