Peneexclaves
Peneexclaves are a unique geographical and political phenomenon. They refer to territories that are not entirely surrounded by the territory of another country, but are separated from their own country by a body of water or another significant geographical barrier. The key distinction from a full exclave is that a peneexclave is *connected* to its parent country by a land bridge, or is so close to its mainland that a land bridge could conceivably be built or has existed historically. This connection, however tenuous, differentiates it from a true exclave, which is entirely severed by foreign territory or international waters.
