Peliteorians

Peliteorians are researchers who specialize in pelites, fine-grained metamorphic rocks derived from clay-rich sediments. Pelites form in settings of regional metamorphism and are key archives of crustal processes in orogenic belts. Peliteorians study their mineralogy, textures, metamorphic history, and geochemical evolution, focusing on how pressure, temperature, and fluid activity drive mineral reactions and rock fabrics.
