Patriarkers

Patriarkers are a type of reptilian dinosaur that lived during the Late Jurassic period, around 155 to 145 million years ago. They were part of the family Arctosauridae, a group of theropod dinosaurs characterized by their long, narrow skulls and sharp teeth.

Patriarkers were medium-sized dinosaurs, measuring approximately 3 to 4 meters in length and weighing around 2 to 3 tons. They had a distinctive appearance, with a long, slender tail and powerful legs. Their bodies were likely covered in scaly skin, and they may have had sharp quill knobs on their arms, indicating the presence of feathers.

Patriarkers were carnivores, and their diet likely consisted of small to medium-sized herbivorous dinosaurs. They were likely solitary hunters, using their speed and agility to catch their prey. They may have also competed with other predators, such as the large carnivorous dinosaurs of the time.

Fossils of patriarkers have been found in North America, specifically in the Morrison Formation in Colorado and Utah. The name "patriarker" comes from the Greek words "patri" meaning "father" and "arkos" meaning "king", likely referencing their status as a prominent predator in their ecosystem.
