Patentointi
Patentointi is the process by which an inventor can protect their invention and gain exclusive rights to it for a limited period. This process is governed by national patent laws and international treaties. To be granted a patent, an invention must typically meet three main criteria: it must be novel, meaning it has not been previously disclosed to the public; it must involve an inventive step, meaning it is not obvious to someone skilled in the relevant field; and it must be capable of industrial application, meaning it can be made or used in some kind of industry.
The patent application process usually begins with filing an application at a national or regional patent
Patents are territorial, meaning a patent granted in one country only provides protection in that country.
