Modern perfumery is a complex industry that relies on skilled professionals known as perfumers, often called "noses." These individuals possess a highly developed sense of smell and a deep understanding of the hundreds of natural and synthetic ingredients available to them. The final fragrance is typically diluted in alcohol and water before being bottled and sold.
