Parcelní

Parcelní is a Czech adjective meaning relating to parcels (plots) of land. In Czech cadastral and real estate terminology, parcelní describes objects, data or procedures connected with a cadastral parcel, i.e., a defined piece of land within a municipal or cadastral area. The term stems from parcela, meaning plot or parcel.

Common usages include parcelní číslo (parcel number), parcelní mapa (parcel map) and parcelní hranice (parcel boundaries). The parcel number uniquely identifies a land plot within a cadastral area and is essential for ownership records, transactions and taxation. The parcel map visually represents the boundaries and area of parcels, while parcel boundaries define their extents and any overlapping with neighboring plots.

Administratively, parcel data are maintained in the Czech Republic by the Office for Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre and the cadastral register. These data underpin the real estate register (katastr nemovitostí) and are used in land-use planning, property transfer, mortgage registration and other legal proceedings.
