Paraméterre

Paraméterre is the Hungarian inflected form of the noun paraméter (parameter) formed with the directional suffix -re. In Hungarian, -re marks direction toward or onto a surface, or more generally a focus or reference point. Therefore paraméterre literally means “to/onto the parameter” and is used to indicate the parameter as the target or reference of an action.

In usage, paraméterre appears mainly in technical, mathematical, and computational writing when a verb or phrase specifies the parameter as the object of attention or operation. Common verbs that can take this form include vonatkozik (to pertain to), összpontosít (to focus on), hivatkozik (to refer to), and megfigyel (to observe) in constructions that express direction toward a parameter. For example, a sentence might say that a conclusion relates to the parameter, or a model focuses on the parameter.

Paraméterre is not a separate technical term; it is simply the noun paraméter inflected for the directional case. The word paraméter itself is a loanword in Hungarian, derived from Greek parámetron, via Latin and French, meaning roughly “beside a measure” or “measure alongside.” The -re suffix is one of several Hungarian directional/postpositional forms used to indicate targets, directions, or references within a sentence.
